The Fibonacci ratio (1.61803398...) is an example of Nature's exquisite geometry. It is a proportion which has been recognized since ancient times. The basic Fibonacci series is: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89... as the sequence progresses, the ratio between each successive number approaches 1.61803398... more exactly. Fibonacci numbers are found abundantly in growth patterns of nature.
Represented below are examples of Fibonacci numbers(namely 5, 8 & 13) in Nature. Many flower species( and their fruits) exhibit growth structures based on these and other Fibonacci numbers. Next to each flower category is a representation of the 8 year (or 2922 days) cycle, showing how Earth and Venus orbit the Sun in harmony, corresponding to the same numbers(5, 8 & 13). The 2922 day cycle divides into:

5 heliocentric conjunctions of Earth and Venus: 5x584 days =2920 days.
8 orbits of the Earth around the Sun: 8x365.25 days = 2922 days.
13 orbits of Venus around the Sun: 13x224.7 days = 2921 days.

In the Dresden Codex, it is revealed that the Maya had a calendar that used the full cycle of Venus. They counted five sets of 584 days, that is 2920 days is approximately 8 years or 5 repetitions of the Venus cycle.
